Members Present: Jeff Cohen, Tyson Lynch, Shawn Newton, Jean Rockett, Scott Weisberg
Staff Present: Kristian Hoysradt (Mayor’s Office)
Introduction of New Member: Tyson Lynch has lived in Salem for over 20 years and is a local attorney and realtor at Coldwell Banker, where he likes selling the inclusiveness of Salem.
Invitational Meetings: No Place for Hate Committee members will look to identify other organizations where they could attend as guest speakers and promote the work of the Committee.
Educational Seminars: The Committee will aim to schedule educational seminars beginning in February once the plaque dedication has occurred.
Dedication Ceremony Planning:
- Invitations: Aggregate Industries, Bill Lach, Colonial Engravers, Congressman, State Senator, State Representative, SSU President, Superintendent, Police Chief, Chamber of Commerce, local Churches, local non-profits, Jim Moskovis, Meghann Ackerman
- Adriatic Restaurant will host post-reception (Jeff)
- John Andrews/Social Palates potential photography (Tyson)
- Large scissors/ribbon will be acquired from the Chamber of Commerce (Kristian)
- Flower donations will be pursued (Jean)
- Kristian and Shawn will work together to produce program
